The start of what is known as the supplemental set of American Silver Eagle heritage. The first year, 2011, that Mint State eagles (no mint mark on the coin) were designated by grading companies to come from a specific U.S. Mint.
With only 1,035 of these coins determined to be from West Point by NGC, the 2011 (W) Struck at West Point Label limits the quantity of perfect 70 supplemental sets that can be fully NGC to 1035!
This coin is 2nd to the 2015 (P) in value to the supplemental series.
This makes the coin valuable to any collection based on low availability.
