Featured here is an authentic, official White House engraved card issued by the Kennedy White House. These cards were sent to individuals who wrote to President John F. Kennedy following his inauguration on January 20, 1961. The card has an embossed gilt gold Presidential Seal at the top and JFK’s facsimile signature at the bottom. It reads, “My sincere thanks for your kind message. I am truly grateful to you for thinking of me.” Facsimile signature of President Kennedy at the conclusion of the message. Comes with original White House mailing envelope postmarked Washington, DC, February 18, 1961.
These cards are rare and hard to find.
Slight overall toning due to its age. There is also an impression of a paper clip on the lower left side. See photos. Otherwise card is in very good condition.
