IT WILL REPLACE THE ORIGINAL PRESTOLITE/AM GENERAL UNITS ON 12 VOLT CIVILIAN H1 VERSIONS. IT WILL NOT REPLACE 24 VOLT MILITARY VERSION H1 STARTERS. THIS CONVERSION UNIT IS SMALLER AND LIGHTER WHICH MAKES IT EASIER TO INSTALL. THE 3 ELECTRICAL TERMINALS (POSITIVE, NEGATIVE, AND IGNITION) ARE TAGGED TO FACILITATE IDENTIFICATION OF THE CORRESPONDING ELECTRICAL TERMINALS ON OUR CONVERSION STYLE UNIT. (SEE PHOTO). **IN CERTAIN CASES, THE EXISTING POSITIVE CABLE LEADING TO THE STARTER WILL NEEDED TO BE PULLED BACK OUT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND REROUTED IN ORDER TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT LENGTH TO REACH THE TERMINAL ON OUR STARTER**. ALTERNATIVELY, THE ENTIRE CABLE CAN  BE REPLACED, WITH AT LEAST 2/0 GAUGE (2 AWG) CABLE. OUR STARTERS ARE ASSEMBLED IN HOUSTON, TX, USA! WE SELL OUR STARTERS OUTRIGHT, SO NO CORE EXCHANGE IS NEED

We are selling this unit outright, so a core exchange is not needed.  The starter itself carries a 2 YEAR WARRANTY against issues with craftsmanship or components. Additional expenses such as labor, towing, etc. are NOT covered under the warranty. As with all starters, please make sure to install this unit into a vehicle that has a fully charged, load tested battery, as well as clean and tight electrical cables, terminals, grounds, and pigtail starter harness. We cannot warranty units that are damaged due to issues with the vehicle itself or negligence on behalf of the installer.
