This is a registered (No. J 111), limited edition, Marley Hodgson No. 3 "The Overlander" tote bag, with its original mesh strap. All the details are in fine condition other than the junction of the andle straps to the brass d-rings on the bag itself. Please see photos. The strength of the handle to carry the weight of the bag is not compromised, however. I thought of taking this to my shoe-repair guy before selling, but then perhaps I thought you would rather do that, and pay less for the inconvenience. The metal bottom studs indicate how seldom the bag was used. Also note there is some staining on the back panel (see photos).
My mother used this bag as an air travel carryon piece, and it is the perfect size for that. I know because I traveled with her to Hawaii with it in 2007. At that time it had not been chewed by her lousy cat, a cat that liked all kinds of good things to eat, like computer charging cords, silk neckties, straps to evening bags, etc.
The bag measures 12" across, 15" high (approximately), and 7" in depth. There is a fine exterior patch pocket with a leather button closure, and from the top, another pocket accessed by a brass zipper adjacent to the zipper of the main compartment. The interior of the bag is in excellent condition. That zippered outside pocket goes all the way to the bottom of the bag, making it excellent for papers, books, documents, a tablet, magazine, or the like.
