The Peru 5,000 Intis Banknote is part of the 1985-1991 Inti series where the inti replaced the sol de oro at a rate of 1:1,000. This banknote issued in 1988 has shades of purple, green, red, and blue and measures 150 x 75 mm. The obverse side features naval battle hero Miguel Grau, as well as Perus Coat of Arms. Meanwhile, the reverse side shows three fishermen in a boat with nets and ropes. This banknote has no security thread but is watermarked with the image of Miguel Grau.
