  • Description: Perrin is an unincorporated community in Gloucester County, Virginia. Perrin lies near the mouth of the Perrin River, which feeds into the York River, near that river's mouth at Chesapeake Bay. This area provides a sheltered access to the Chesapeake. This early 20th-century petroleum retailer catered to commercial and sport maritime activities. A 1925 ad in the Gloucester Gazette advertises “fish tackle, marine hardware, gasoline and oil.”
