Thank you for looking, This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Aerospace Engineer that was part of ABMA and NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team. Mr. Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development of the H1/F1/J2 Rocket Engines for the SATURN/APOLLO missions, He also headed team that worked on and solved the POGO EFFECT and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle "SSME" Design/Development in 1968-69. Lastly from 1971-86 he served as Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle Main Engine. This listing is for an Authentic WERNHER VON BRAUN SIGNED letter to Mr. Jerry Thomson informing him that he will receive an AWARD at the 11th annual NASA HONOR AWARDS CEREMONY along with two NASA MSFC 1st Generation Photos of Mr. Thomson receiving the award including Wernher von Braun in one of the photos - see details below:
Letter is on Wernher von Brauns "OFFICE of the DIRECTOR" MSFC notepad Paper size - (5-1/4"x8)
1st Gen photo of Mr. Thomson in the communications room (HOSC) on APOLLO 11 LAUNCH DAY (He was still over Engine Firing and Development at that time)
Letter and newsletter/newspaper article are taped at corners to a regular size (8.5x11) sheet of paper
Photos have purple ink stamp with von Braun photo having a black ink stamp number on the back side as well
Letter with article and Photos are in Excellent overall condition with only very minor age/storage wear
Awards Ceremony Photos are 8x10 while APOLLO 11 HOSC Photo is 5x7
