Greek Line: A fold-out (16" by 27") interiors brochure from 1958 for the ARKADIA. The liner had been rebuilt in May 1958 from the hull of the burned-out MONARCH OF BERMUDA.

Ship buffs usually scorn the transformation of the deco-rich MONARCH into the cut-rate ARKADIA, but this brochure shows surprisingly stylish interiors. First Class held a lucky 150 passengers, and photos show Mediterranean modern decor in the Epicures Club Dining Room, Pan's Bar, Orpheus Room, and two colorful cabins.

The 1,150 folks in Tourist also fared well, as shown in views of Tegean Room, Neptune's Room, Athenian Room, Taverna, Arkadian Dining Room, Agora shopping center, and two nice cabins. More photos show the Wonderland Playroom, Games Deck, and the indoor pool.

The ARKADIA was scrapped in December 1966. Ironically, former fleetmate and near-sister QUEEN OF BERMUDA was scrapped the very same month.

Very good condition.
