The tape cassette player does turn on when you put batteries in it, but I could not get the tape player part to work or get the radio part to work at all so I’m not sure if it’s some sort of user error on my part or if it just doesn’t work either way, I’m selling it for parts not working as is no returns refunds or exchanges
