ISM produces clear images using the integrated 640 x 480 pixel resolution. A high performance system, this module contains a 1GHz processor to run the proprietary vision tool library. A number of other ID and tool systems are built into the device, including barcode verification, surface flaw, and image filters. Networking protocols are available using the Ethernet and 10/100 BaseT connections. Additional I/O support is available using an RS232C connection.

Following all provided storage and installation parameters will prevent the device from operating outside its constraints. Temperature sensitive, so ambient temperatures should be monitored to prevent damages. While operating, temperatures of the operating facility can safely range from 0℃ to 45℃, or 32℉ to 113℉. Storage temperatures can also affect the device, requiring storage facilities to be climate controlled. Acceptable storage temperatures can fall as low as -30℃, or -22℉, and raise as high as 80℃, or 176℉. The device datasheet and user manual contain a comprehensive installation and safety guide.
