Factory sealed, box has not been opened. The box is copyright/trademark dated 1981, and was likely manufactured some time in the early 80s. The powder inside still seems like normal spackle powder and I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I'd more expect this to be used as a display piece or a prop in a period set piece. Unusual new old stock
