Card details:
During their existence there were a few years when Parkhurst did not make hockey cards, possibly because hockey cards wsere not yet as popular as the other big sports in the US. Decades later Parkhurst went back to their archives from the period and came up with the players and designs they might have used in those years, and they came up with a "missing link" set of cards in the style they would have used had they published in those years. The card in this ad is one of the cards from the "missing link" 1966-67 season featuring NHL legends Bobby Hull and Frank Mahovlich on a duo all-star card. An excellent design with TWO NHL legends on one card.

Bobby Hull and Frank Mahovlich are celebrated as two of the greatest players in NHL history, each leaving an indelible mark on the sport. Hull, known as "The Golden Jet," revolutionized hockey with his blazing speed, powerful slapshot, and innovative curved stick blade, setting records like being the first NHL player to score over 50 goals in a season. Mahovlich, nicknamed "The Big M," was a dominant force with his smooth skating and explosive scoring ability, winning six Stanley Cups and setting a playoff scoring record in 1971. Their rivalry highlighted the era, with Hull's offensive brilliance often clashing with Mahovlich's all-around prowess. As hockey expert Frank Mahovlich himself remarked about Hull, "Give him a puck, a stick, and a pair of skates, and put him on your team—do you need a new concept?" This quote underscores the transformative impact both players had on the game.

The photo is a photo of the actual card so please take a good look at the card and pay attention to grading.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON GRADING AND BACKGROUND ON HHA:
The Hockey History Archive (HHA) is a hockey history organization that is part of HHA Grading and Reclamation (BC Business Registry 725858229bc001) which began as a group of hockey historians and collectors who initially were focused on finding and releasing to the public video of old hockey games 20 to 70 years old. Recently HHA began focussing on providing a new type of hockey card grading with collectors in mind rather than investors. HHA was founded by RD Smith who has a degree in history from Simon Fraser University and who worked for years with historic photos for museums which included assessing, cleaning, and preparing historic photos for public viewing while taking needed steps crucial to preservation. Smith in conjunction with the HHA decided to turn this expertise towards the task of grading and "reclaiming" cards.
