"Route 66 Traveler's Guide" 2nd edition, by Tom Snyder, founder of the U.S. Route 66 Association, printed in 1995. Both published by Sant Martin's Press.
The books are all about the famed old Route 66, one of the original highways in the U.S. numbered highway system. Established in 1926, it ran from Chicago, Illinois through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, terminating in Santa Monica, California. Dubbed the Mother Road in John Steinbeck's iconic novel, The Grapes of Wrath, the highway is also called Will Rogers Highway.
