Specimen Weight: 31.1 g

From the collection of Bill and Carol Smith

Bill and Carol Smith amassed a quite comprehensive suite of Pakistani minerals over the years picking up unusual species and habits of common minerals whenever they could. They were always quick to visit Dudley Blauwet of Mountain Minerals (their primary source) when he returned from buying trips to Pakistan in hopes of picking up another unusual specimen for the suite.

Axinite is not generally thought of as a Pakistani mineral, but several very good finds have been made. This wonderful cluster is composed of fairly large translucent crystals with a nice brown color and good luster.

Every Tuesday we will offer fine mineral specimens so please save us as a favorite and check back often to see the newest specimens we've added. Also please check our store for additional mineral specimens.
