Up for auction is a vintage piece of movie ephemera. This drawing is pencil on paper. It was not used in production, but was created by someone who worked on the Aliens production in the UK and it was made during the making of the movie. The name of the artist is Arthur Ingham. He was an assistant on production, and worked on set. I have a number of drawings of his, which range from being practice copies of the storyboards from the movie, original versions of storyboards of his own invention, studies of shots from the movie, character sketches, sketches for panels from the sets, and others. None of his storyboards were used in production, he was aspiring to be a storyboard artist at the time. Some of the set building sketches may have been used in production, this is not one of those. Price is commensurate with good quality artworks that have an indirect association with the film, but which are not the original Roger Deer storyboard pieces of art. It is sold as art and as novelty, for display purposes only. He went on to a graphic design career in advertising but did not continue as a storyboard artist.
