Melanie Adele Martinez is an American singer, songwriter, filmmaker, and live performerShe first gained fame in 2012 as a contestant on season three of The VoiceMartinez has also written, directed, and starred in a musical film with its own soundtrack. In 2021, Forbes named her to their "30 Under 30" list. Martinez has collaborated with footwear brand Koi and sold out festival performances and headline shows. 
Martinez later released her debut studio album, Cry Baby (2015), which went on to be certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[3] The album amassed numerous commercially successful singles including "Pity Party", "Soap" and "Mrs. Potato Head".
