MK908 II can access and scan all available vehicle modules like Engine/Trans/ABS/Airbag/Brake/Body/Chassis/HVAC/Radio and etc to perform in-depth diagnostics and ana lysis to pull codes, erase codes, view live data stream and be able to graph and record it, perform various vehicle-specific active tests, retrieve ECU information and etc.

Autel MK908 II allows you to perform various bi-directional tests to check the operating conditions of both the Anti-lock Braking System and the Supplemental Restraint System, such as Automated Bleeding, Pump Motor Test and checking Module information, etc. This service enables bi-directional control of the ECM so that the diagnostic tool is able to transmit control commands to operate the vehicle systems. This function is useful in determining whether the ECM responds to a command well.
It can control various vehicle parts or components to perform active tests (also known as component tests, functional tests) like turn fuel pump on/off, cycling the A/C Clutch on/off, EVAP test, testing individual fuel injectors, windows, doors, sunroof, wipers, to monitor the operations to check whether they are functioning properly and quickly locate the fault causes.
Advanced ECU Coding
NOTE: The programming function can only be applied through connection with the J2534 programming device, which serves as a PassThru interface to establish communication with and transfer data to the vehicle’s ECU
What's the difference between Coding and programming
A. Coding–also known as Teach-in Program, Component Adaptation or something similar, is used to reprogram adaptive data for vehicle control modules after repairs or replacements of vehicle parts.
B. Reprogramming Operations –downloads new version of software subscription from theodolite server database through internet access (this procedure is done automatically when the MaxiSys display tablet is connected to the internet, so there is no need to check for software subscriptions yourself), and reprograms the newest software version to the vehicle’s ECU
NOTE: ECU Coding is NOT universal compatible. Please check vehicle coverage through seller if you focus on this function.

- Oil Reset: Reset service mileage & service intervals after engine oil is changed.
- EPB: Resetting brakes after disc or pad replacement and etc.
- SAS Calibration: Clear SAS fault memory and reset the current steering wheel position as the straight-ahead position in the steering angle sensor EEPROM.
- DPF Regeneration: Burn the soot created by the process of combustion which is collected in the filter to make sure that the filter does not become blocked.
- SAS Calibration: Perform calibration of the steering angle sensor, which permanently stores the current steering wheel position as straight-ahead in the sensor EEPROM.
- ABS Bleeding: ABS Brake Bleeding enables technicians and home mechanics to bleed air out of the ABS module.
