Please read complete description and carefully look at all photos.
Vintage 1967 Gretsch 6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Guitar Body Neck With a newer Gretsch Hard Case. Original lacquer finish has some checking appropriate for a 57 year old guitar. Has some finish dulling around the control holes and body edges. I believe a lot of these areas would polish out. Otherwise, please view the numerous photos for an accurate representation of cosmetic condition. As happens in almost every vintage Gretsch, all of the original binding is in various stages of rot (please see photos). Medium fret wear with some good life left in them. The ebony fretboard looks nice with very little wear. There are a few shallow lateral scratches in it that appear to be from a metal fret guard. Back of neck is very nice with a few marks but not bad. Truss rod nut tightens and loosens smoothly. Body Neck weighs (as shown in photos) 4 pounds, 10.2 ounces. Includes a 1990's/2000's Gretsch Hard Case (black tolex outside, burgundy plush inside). Case is in good condition but does have some scuffs and scratches as well as some fraying in the stitching. The burgundy plush interior is in good condition (have more photos that are available upon request). Includes original case key. Case latches up tight and fits guitar perfectly.Photos are a major part of the description. Please view the
photos carefully for cosmetic condition as well as anything else I may
not have described here. Please ask any questions you need to.
