This is a used, very clean vintage Now Serving Sign made by SGT Enterprises U.R. Next Model SG-1
This sign works great. Just wire up a simple push button, like a door bell type, and you can advance the number from
00 to 99 with each press of the button.
To reset the sign back to zero, just unplug to remove power and plug it back in and it will reset and come up to 00.
This sign is lighted by small # 73 wedge type light bulbs as shown in photo.
Measures: 10"wide x 8" tall x 2" deep
The numbers light nice and bright and should last a very long time.
Powered by a wall wart type 12 volt AC transformer.
Sign is made of plastic and comes from a non smoking environment.
Comes just like you see it in the photos.
This is one of the first lighted, digital Now Serving signs like this.
Used in many service and sales areas to help keep customers in order.
Usually there is a numbered ticket dispenser that a customer would take to know what number they are in line.
When the number is called they turn in their number and the sign number is advanced manually with the push of a button by the sales person.
This the transformer that connects to the yellow and black wires on the top connector.
The push button, like an ordinary door bell button, connects to the two wires on the bottom connector.
You will have to add wires to connect the push button and transformer to the location they will be at.
This is all low voltage stuff so no danger of getting shocked.
Just hang on the wall, run your wire, connect the transformer, add the push button and you are all ready to go.
