Grimwades, Stoke on Trent, made in England Large Pitcher Jug & Grimwades E.P. Staffs, Made in England Large Matching Bowl.
Colours are purple, black and white check, with multi coloured floral work border.
The bowl is in Damaged condition -the edge of the bowl likely had gold rim however not a lot remaining now. There is some damage to the bowl - a decent fracture running from edge down into the bowl, and another nearby around the rim, however its still going well and could use a little fix in that regard if possible, otherwise it is still a feature of the past as is.
The pitcher is in Good Condition - its (global) backstamp is known to be from 1930+ and my research on the bowl's backstamp would suggest 'EP Grimwades' to be Elgin Pottery which was located next to Grimwades Winton Pottery. (Elgin pottery later became Empire Works or Empire Porcelain Company).
Bowl size is a huge 41.5cm diameter and 12.5cm H, and Pitcher is a tall 30cm at spout.
Posted and packed with care!
