This porcelain oyster or clam plate was produced in France by Haviland & Company Limoges for the retailer David & Collamore & Co. of New York in the 1890s. The plate is molded with 5 sections for shells and a central well for salt. The border is scalloped, ruffled and has crimped edges. There is a band of crimson red around the border. Ornate, lacy gilding accents the plate and there is a gilded medallion in the center. It is an elegant plate. #E1149
