This guitar started life as an absolutely awesome Empire Music Fender Custom Shop 67 Super Strat. I think now it’s even better. The classic Strat look, the fastest neck this side of Charvel, and a super versatile top-quality electronics package.
Roasted lightweight alder body, Roasted quartersawn maple neck, 9.50 - 14 radius, 1 11/16 nut, medium-jumbo frets, modern C-D neck profile which I hear is now only available on the Empire models or masterbuilt guitars, and I added Hipshot direct fit locking tuners. This guitar stays in tune as well as any non-Floyd guitar I’ve ever had.
I took the loaded pickguard off and repurposed it into another guitar. ALL OF THE ORIGINAL ELECTRONICS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
I had a new pickguard built with the mid-boost preamp, series/parallel switches, battery connection, etc. that I got directly from Tyler. I had the pickguard professionally assembled/wired and installed by Carlino Guitars with guidance from the good folks at Tyler.
The pickups I used are an 80’s trem-spaced JB humbucker wound by MJ (very difficult to find a nice one and cost me over $300 alone) and 2 brand new SD Hot Stack bridge models ala the Tyler Dan Huff yellow classic. The battery for the preamp is hidden neatly under the pickguard.
It’s a wonderful and versatile guitar but my new Tyler is almost here and this will be redundant so I’m moving it along.
I accidentally dripped something on the paint behind the bridge and on each side of the jack. I did a quick job of touching up the spots with Arctic White paint but it’s not great. You could have a pro do a better job if it bothers you. I took the pictures to make it look much worse and more noticeable than it really is. The guitar is in excellent shape aside from that. The plastic is still on the pickguard.
The guitar will ship in the original box, with the original hard shell case, and all case candy including the COA, floor traveler/spec sheet, tremolo bar, leather strap, etc. are included.
No shipping outside of Continental USA. No trades. Happy to answer any questions. Thank you for looking.
