This is an old MERKLE-KORFF motor attached to some kind of pressing machine.  I did give it power and it does work, however the cord plug in needs replaced as you can see in the pics.  Motor would not be terribly hard to remove to use in a different application, but this machine does work for whatever this press is used for lol.  Heavy machine, great farmhouse decor!  Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking!
