The 2534 is essentially the new and improved 4473 Fire Boot, which was recently released but is not yet widely available. Similar to the classic 4473, These 2534s are NFPA certified fire boots that measure 8 inches from the bottom of the heel to the top of they boot, have melt resistant soles, and are made of a smooth finished, oil-tanned leather with high heat resistance. The main difference that sets the 2534s apart from the classic 4473 is the addition of Red Wing's new Supersole X sole, which seems to be an overall improvement over the original Supersoles of the 4473.
These boots run slightly large. I normally wear US 10.5D boots, and the 10D 2534s fit quite well as is while wearing medium thick socks. The 10.5D 2534s also fits well after putting in thin footbeds or while wearing thicker than normal socks.
The zippers attached to the boots are from the original zipper kits made by Red Wing Shoes for the 4473, which were also discontinued until recently and may soon be brought back by Red Wing Shoes as an option for those who'd like them put on their 2534s. That being said, if one would prefer not to have the zippers included with the boots, I can remove them from the order and issue a $40 partial refund on request.

A packing slip will be provided with the boots that shows the Item Subtotal, Shipping Cost, Sales Tax, and Order Total. In case the boots are to be used for work in a company that helps cover the cost of footwear, the packing slip should qualify as a proper receipt that can be shown to one's employer.
