The 1807 George III one penny coin is a copper coin featuring a laureate bust of the king on the obverse and a seated Britannia on the reverse. Struck at the Soho Mint, this was one of the first years these large copper pennies were produced using a steam-driven press, making them the first of their kind to be struck in the modern sense. They are also notable for being a scarcer date and are sought after by collectors.
