It was an event in camera photography almost 40 years ago when Pentax introduced the world’s first compact camera having a zoom lens - the AF Zoom 70 compact. The model offered here is In very good cosmetic condition with working tele-macro 35-70mm Pentax zoom lens, working shutter, auto exposure, self timer, and focus lock, making for an elegant partially working display example of an historic camera. The camera does not wind-on film so is ideal for an exhibition simply as a display, or as a stage prop, as film does not wind to the first frame, its motor appearing to be at fault.
The camera uses 4xAAA cells or a 6V battery. Made in Japan by Asahi Optical, serial no.4914234.
