Sow scabiosa seeds under cover / indoors 4 weeks before last frost for summer flowering (late Feb/early March); direct April-May or in the Autumn for flowering the following summer.

For best results sow the shuttlecock seed sparsely on its side on damp seed compost or paper towel - germinates easily at 22-25 degrees. Once shoots appear, cover lightly with compost and move to a cool bright place.
