This chip for the Fiat Coupe 20v turbo or 20v NA will allow the engine to start with a corrupted immobiliser unit, instead of the ECU preventing starting due to the immobiliser error.

Normally the key code symbol on the dash should come on and then go out when the ignition is switched on, but if the key code light is staying on or not coming on at all then the immobiliser unit may be corrupted or dead, preventing starting. If the key code light is coming on and then going off as normal yet the engine still isn't starting then this chip won't help, as you have some other starting problem.

If your engine ECU has been replaced then this chip will also reset it to allow it to work in the "new" car, normally the ECU is locked to its original car only, preventing easy replacement of a damaged ECU.
