Tubestock 25cm approx in height

small rainforest tree found from Sth Qld to about Bowen in Nth Qld.

Very colourful pink flowers on this species makes it a beautiful specimen to have in your native garden. The tree drops its leaves before the flowers bud and display for about a month or so in spring.

This form (Sth Qld) does very well in cultivation and grows to about 4m with a 2m spread.

Does well in most soils except water logged, in fact these are quite drought hardy once established.

Can take some frost (down to -5 degrees). If however, it is a relatively low frost winter, the tree will produce flowers for a much longer period.
