It says that this special edition was prepared for The Criterion Company of Hartford, Connecticut, The original edition by Johnson was published in 1938. It is a very interesting and informative look at the stars, constellations and celestial bodies as known at the time. There are tons of illustrations and pages at the back for the reader to enter their own discoveries or observations. 

Condition is good, possibly to very good. There is no paper loss although there is significant yellowing and evidence of previous exposure to moisture around the edges of many of the pages. There are 126 pages and all are firmly attached to the binding.
