This book, Freeze the Disease, measures 7.25" x 4.25" softcover has 93 pages but is missing pages 1 thru 4. I have a paper enclosed so the reader can see what was on those first four pages that are missing. The cover has some moderate wear and has a Pastoral Care Department stamp on its front and inside. The inside stamp has been blacked out and some of the black has transferred to the opposite page. The remaining pages are clean and white. The binding is good, but this is a glued binding, and I suspect that the glue is getting brittle and so I am reluctant to open the pages all the way open. But all the pages are well attached at this time. After all, the book is almost 50 years old. Also, the book has about 6 pages or so of color pics and at least on color photo.
This is Father Jack's 1976 sobriety bio from being an alcoholics priest, going into treatment, becoming a regular member of AA, staying sober, and getting back in the church. He does go through the steps writing about a page on each step. The back cover was written by Father Martin, and I assume they became friends since they had AA in common.
