Heater control unit for Carlton GSi 12v and 24v, also Lotus Carlton/Omega (RHD)
Engine codes C24NE, 30NE, C30NE, C30SE
For air conditioning, right hand drive only
Includes the air con electronic control module at rear of unit. This is easily damaged by careless disassembly and without it, the air conditioning will not work. I know this from experience of restoring a Lotus Carlton; the a/c would not work and it took me a week to pin down the fault, a cracked circuit board in the control unit. Be careful when unplugging this unit from the wiring loom!
Right hand drive cars only
Rare part, only found in larger-engined Carltons with air conditioning

Good but note slight cracks in position where switch for the blower fan clips in. This makes no difference to the secure fit of the switch

Which side is which?Offside and nearside are confusing to many; the car manufacturers use Left and Right to avoid confusion. L/H and R/H sides of the car are seen as you sit in it, i.e L/H is passenger/nearside (in UK) and R/H is driver/offside. Vauxhall/Opel parts are often marked R or L to avoid confusion
