Light wear to bruised corners and edges. Chipped upper spine end with 1cm horizontal tear and small loss of cloth. Very minor faint marks to cloth. Lightly sunned spine. Tightly bound with lightly toned intact endpapers with very fine and faint spotting. Light foxing to fly page, diminishing through half title, title, preface and list of illustrations pages. Missing one plate on page 110. Page 49 has some damage. Two tears to fore edge 3.5cm apart going into the page by 4cm. This section is creased. Spotting to most page margins with heavier foxing to pages 31-33, 110-111, 142-146 and 171-177.
