This better quality bridge is also machined with a perpendicular side so you know straight away that it has an inner and outer face ready for final sanding and shaping. The inner face is the perpendicular one towards the player whilst the sloping side faces the fingerboard.

This quality is far superior to the standard 'student' grade. A lower quality is liable to string indentation damage owing to its softer unseasoned batch selection before machining.
