Der nachfolgende Hinweis richtet sich an diejenigen, die Batterien oder Akkus oder Produkte mit eingebauten Batterien oder Akkus nutzen und in der an sie gelieferten Form nicht mehr weiterveräußern (Endnutzer):
1. Unentgeltliche Rücknahme von Altbatterien und Altakkus: Batterien und Akkus dürfen nicht über den Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Sie sind zur Rückgabe von Altbatterien und Altakkus gesetzlich verpflichtet, damit eine fachgerechte Entsorgung gewährleistet werden kann. Sie können Altbatterien und Altakkus an einer kommunalen Sammelstelle oder im Handel vor Ort abgeben. Auch wir sind als Vertreiber von Batterien und Akkus zur Rücknahme von Altbatterien und Altakkus verpflichtet, wobei sich unsere Rücknahmeverpflichtung auf Altbatterien und Altakkus der Art beschränkt, die wir als Neubatterien und Neuakkus in unserem Sortiment führen oder geführt haben. Altbatterien und Altakkus vorgenannter Art können Sie daher entweder ausreichend frankiert an uns zurücksenden oder sie direkt bei uns unter der folgenden Adresse unentgeltlich abgeben:

2. Bedeutung der Batteriesymbole
Batterien und Akkus sind mit dem Symbol einer durchgekreuzten Mülltonne (s.u.) gekennzeichnet. Dieses Symbol weist darauf hin, dass Batterien und Akkus nicht in den Hausmüll gegeben werden dürfen. Bei Batterien und Akkus, die mehr als 0,0005 Masseprozent Quecksilber, mehr als 0,002 Masseprozent Cadmium oder mehr als 0,004 Masseprozent Blei enthalten, befindet sich unter dem Mülltonnen-Symbol die chemische Bezeichnung des jeweils eingesetzten Schadstoffes – dabei steht "Cd" für Cadmium, "Pb" steht für Blei, und "Hg" für Quecksilber.

Was bei Lampenbruch zu tun ist
Energiesparlampen enthalten eine sehr geringe Menge an Quecksilber. Aber es gilt: Bei normaler Anwendung sind Energiesparlampen völlig ungefährlich. Vor, während und nach dem Betrieb kann kein Quecksilber aus der Lampe entweichen. Die einzige Kontaktmöglichkeit ergibt sich, wenn Ihre Sparlampe zerbricht. In diesem Fall entweicht das Quecksilber langsam in die Luft, da es bei Raumtemperatur verdampft. Die Konzentration ist dabei aber sehr gering und liegt deutlich unterhalb der in Deutschland geltenden Grenzwerte. Für zerbrochene Sparlampen gelten – wie für intakte oder nicht länger funktionsfähige Energiesparlampen auch – spezielle Empfehlungen zur Entsorgung. Beachten Sie daher bitte folgende Hinweise:
Was Sie tun sollten:
- Wenn die Lampe in einer Leuchte zerbrochen ist, trennen Sie zuerst die Leuchte vom Stromnetz, um Stromschläge zu vermeiden.
- Stoßlüften Sie den Raum für 10 – 15 Minuten und verlassen Sie diesen.
- Schneiden Sie sich nicht an den Glasscherben. Tipp: ziehen Sie Einweg- oder Haushaltshandschuhe an.
- Sammeln Sie alle Teile der Lampe auf, möglichst durch Aufkehren.
- Nutzen Sie ein angefeuchtetes Einweg-Haushaltstuch oder auch ein Klebeband, um kleine Stücke und Staub aufzunehmen.
- Wenn die Oberfläche keine andere Wahl lässt (Teppich), verwenden Sie einen Staubsauger.
- Entsorgen Sie den Staubsaugerbeutel bzw. den Inhalt im Anschluss.
- Verpacken Sie Lampenreste, Einwegtuch, usw. in einen festverschließbaren Plastikbeutel oder ein Schraubglas.
- Entsorgen Sie sowohl zerbrochene als auch nicht-funktionsfähige Lampen bei der nächsten Altlampen-Annahmestelle.
Was Sie wissen müssen:
Das Einatmen von Quecksilberdampf ist die häufigste Aufnahmeart von Quecksilber in den Körper. Sie haben aber Zeit genug, alles in Ruhe zu reinigen, denn bei Raumtemperatur verdampft flüssiges Quecksilber nur sehr langsam. Bei einer zerbrochenen Lampe kann das Quecksilber an den Bruchstücken haften und über die Zeit in der Wohnung verdampfen. Das können Sie durch die oben genannten einfachen Maßnahmen verhindern. Wenn Sie die Lampenbruchstücke sorgfältig aufnehmen, in einem Plastikbeutel dicht verschließen und bis zur Entsorgung außerhalb Ihrer Wohnung lagern, ist das Quecksilber nicht im Raum.
Wie Sie Lampenbruch vermeiden können: Egal ob Glüh-, Halogen- oder Energiesparlampe – der Bruch einer Lampe lässt sich nie ganz ausschließen. Vor allem beim Auswechseln der Lampe kann es zu Glasbruch kommen.
Folgende Tipps sollen helfen, Missgeschicke zu vermeiden:
- Stellen Sie – um Stromschläge zu verhindern – beim Lampenwechsel unbedingt sicher, dass die Leuchte vom Stromnetz getrennt ist.
- Wechseln Sie die Lampe erst, wenn sie abgekühlt ist.
- Fassen Sie die Lampe beim Wechsel am Kunststoffsockel oder ggf. am Hüllkolben an, nicht an den Glasrohren.
- Wickeln Sie nicht mehr funktionsfähige Lampen bis zur Rückgabe in ein weiches Tuch oder legen Sie sie in einen sicheren Behälter.
- Nehmen Sie die neue Lampe erst unmittelbar vor dem Eindrehen in die Fassung aus der Verpackung.
- Durch den Gehalt geringer Mengen giftigen Quecksilbers dürfen Spiral-Tageslichtlampen gemäß Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz (ElektroG) nicht im Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Entsorgen Sie sowohl zerbrochene als auch nicht funktionsfähige Lampen bei der nächsten Altlampen-Annahmestelle.

The validity of the guarantee ends at:

If a product defect is not covered by this warranty, the costs incurred in shipping and transporting the product shall be borne by the consumer.
