Please note I am NOT an expert on this medal at all so all this information is just my opinion, you'll have to be the judge of the Fantastic collectors item for yourself. This item was found on the east coast of the United States, the Maryland area to be exact.  this is exactly the way I found it, I did absolutely nothing to this item I didn't even try to clean it up in any way whatsoever, I left it exactly the way I found it, which I think is a fantastic collectors item, now you can clean this item up, and it should clean up really nicely, or you can just leave it alone add it to a really cool collection , either way I think this is a fantastic find. I believe this is a  World War II BRITISH ARMY  1ST LIFE GUARDS CAP BADGE. THIS  cap badge is marked on the back that says MARPLES & BEASLEY B'HAM, which I think is the maker of this cap badge, which is super cool. This item is all brass for the most part , and on the front it says THE LIFE GUARDS with the king's crown on top ,and it looks like it's got a G and R in the middle, in cursive writing . this is a super cool item and a fantastic collectors item .  this is an ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC collectible from World War II... this would be a fantastic gift , for any collector, or any collection.
