This beautiful painting by Arthur Sarnoff is a true masterpiece. Created using oil painting on canvas, this piece is a stunning representation of fly fishing at "Shady Glen". The painting is signed by the artist himself and is an original piece from before 1964.
Measuring 24" in height and 36" in width, this painting is a large piece that is perfect for any art collection. It is unframed and handmade, making it a unique and one-of-a-kind item. The painting is an illustrated style and features a fly fishing theme, making it perfect for any art lover who enjoys fishing or appreciates the beauty of nature.
This was possibly created for a calendar or men's magazine?
The amount of texture in the oil paint is incredible.
The pre-1964 dating was estimated by the lack of a zip code on the panel manufacturer address.
This was purchased from my friend Charles Martinette a few years before he passed.
He was friends with Art Sarnoff in Florida and had purchased all of Art's collection that was left.
Similar paintings by Sarnoff have sold for over $5,000.

Arthur Sarnoff (1912 – 2000) was an American artist and illustrator.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1912, Sarnoff attended the Industrial School and the Grand Central School of Art in New York City. A member of the Society of Illustrators, he exhibited at venues including the National Academy of Design.
A protégé of John Clymer and Andrew Wyeth, Sarnoff's portfolio boasted extensive commercial work for weekly magazines, and his art featured in advertising campaigns for products like Karo Syrup, Dextrose, Lucky Strike, Coors, Camay, Sal Hepatica, Listerine, Vick's VapoRub, Meds, and Ipana. Sarnoff's art, whimsical and captivating, often drew on Americana and slapstick humor. His painting "The Hustler" became one of the 1950s' best-selling prints. He also painted portraits of notable figures, including Bob Hope and John F. Kennedy.
