| Tudor Glass "Holbein" Classic English Crystal Stemware. We have Water, Wine, Cordial & Champagne Glasses available. They are priced per glass. Pattern Description: Clear Blown Glass, Criss Crosses, Slanted Lines, No Trim, Cut Base. Made in England. All are signed 'Tudor'. This pattern is discontinued. It was introduced in 1991. NOTE: I have described this wine glass as a "White Wine" glass as it is smaller, with only four ounce capacity, versus a larger 8 ounce wine glass that Tudor made in this pattern. This is more in agreement with the traditions for Red versus White Wine glasses and is in opposition of the type associated to the two glasses by Replacements. Company History: Tudor Crystal was a trade name for the Stourbridge Glass Company Ltd. which began making fine English Leaded Crystal since 1922. Through various ownerships and name changes it is now owned and operated by Plowden and Thompson. It is based in Stourbridge, England and claims to be the last working factory to still make lead crystal within a traditional glassmaking cone. |
