This is a remarkably nice GALAXIAN cocktail game. I am not sure if I've seen a cocktail game in this nice condition to be honest. It is almost MINT. But I guess this section is about the "working" condition so I'll save the physical condition discussion for later.
This Galaxian is working 100%, perfectly. The monitor has a phenomenal picture, with absolutely NO screen burn. That is because I installed a brand new (NOS) Wells Gardner 19" CRT monitor. These monitors are getting very scarce, and I can sell them for $750 plus just by themselves. The controls work and feel great. The sound is perfect. The coin mech and coin switch are working. The coin counter has VERY few plays on it. just over 5,000. That is remarkable for one of the most popular classic games, after 44 years.
This game did have a fully working original Galaxian PCB, but based on my experience with original Galaxian PCBs and how flaky they are, I decided to custom build a wiring harness adapter so I could install a new power supply and a new PCB that plays Galaxian (exactly as original) as well as 15 other classic games that share the same or similar controls. This will ensure that the game remains functioning reliably. If you for some reason would prefer it to just play Galaxian with the original PCB, you can pick one up on eBay for cheap and install it simply by unplugging my PCB and plugging in the Galaxian PCB - it's literally that simple.

I know that the pictures above make it look like the monitor has a problem. That is not the case. My camera just has too fast a shutter speed, so it captures the picture on the monitor while it is drawing and leaves half the picture looking blank. Trust me, in real life the picture looks perfect.

As alluded to above, this Galaxian cocktail is in AMAZING condition. The first thing you notice when you walk up to it is the pristine condition of the top and artwork under the top. Most cocktail games are all scratched up, to the point where I just get used to seeing a scratched glass and don't really even notice it anymore. This game, however, has a brand new underlay (with the artwork) and a brand new reproduction tempered glass top. So no scratches and perfect artwork.
The cabinet is also in phenomenal condition, as are the control panels. The coin door is all original and near perfect. This is one of the rare midway cocktails that was never broken into, so the door isn't all bent and mangled up like most. The door looks perfect and the coin slot lights up with a new #55 lamp.
The control panels also light up with new #194 lamps - they look great and function perfectly with all original controls.
The game is basically flawless cosmetically. Or at least without any major flaws. I'm sure if you looked closely you would find some very minor flaws. It is 44 years old after all.
