"A New Menace" by Mark Donoghue

An 8th Air Force P-51 Mustang survives a frontal pass from a Messerschmitt Me262 Schwalbe jet . The new fighter was a great shock to Allied pilots who found it a formidable opponent in the skies over Europe. The revolutionary fighter was equipped with heavy armament and had a great speed advantage over the best piston engine fighters. It was found the best tactic was to attack it on take off or landing when it was at its most vulnerable.
Ultimately the world’s first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft would have little effect on the outcome of the air war as it could not be built in sufficient numbers to turn the tide so late in the conflict.

Unframed Prints:

Unframed prints are supplied on photographic lustre paper and come with a white border with print title and artists signature below this. Print size includes the white border. Image is cropped slightly to fit within the border. These prints can be mounted directly into your own frame without the need for matting, making them a good option for the budget conscious.

Framed Prints:

Framed prints come ready to hang in the frame color of your choice. These are quality professionally produced timber framed and matted prints on fine art paper. They will be glazed with acrylic glass. Image size does not include matting and frame. These will be well packed and posted by a professional framer.

The Small Print:

To ensure prompt delivery prints will be shipped directly from professional print labs in your country of origin. The only exception being Canada which will be shipped from the United States.
