Emma Bridgewater ceramics was founded in 1985, the company specialises in making pottery with motifs inspired by the world around us, drawing on techniques dating back 200 years. It all began in 1984 when Emma was working in London soon after leaving university. Struggling to find a unique birthday present to go on her mothers kitchen Welsh dresser, she soon set out in the direction of Stoke-on-Trent.
