Handmade Clay Bust Sculpture of Sappho

This is a handmade sculpture of the great lyric Greek poet Sappho. It is made of fired clay and mounted onto a slab of marble that is attached to a piece of wood. It was made in 1991 by Alfonso Giella. It is signed on the back and has pieces of cork on the bottom to prevent damage to table tops.

Statue measures approximately 8 1/2" tall

Base measures approximately 4 3/4" D x 6" W x 1 3/4" H

GOOD USED CONDITION WITH MINOR WEAR FROM AGE 

Some crazing. The black rubber part under the neck has dried and has some cracks.
