The 1947 program is in good condition but does have wear on the corners and spine area.  All of the pages are secure, and there are no cutouts.  The program has writing on several pages, and the notations are race related to scoring.  Numerous photos were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program.

The Lakewood Park Speedway played host to Stock Cars on August 31, 1947, in a Sam Nunis promoted race.  The race would be won by Jack Smith, who started racing the same year.  Smith would run 264 races on the NASCAR Grand National circuit with 21 wins and 142 Top 10's.

Lakewood Speedway would run AAA Championship races, NASCAR Grand National events, and was considered the "Indianapolis of the South" before closing in 1979.

Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past.  I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost.  Thanks!
