These are used cards with writing inside and sometimes on the back

Most of the cards have their original dated envelope included showing the date, address and names of people. 

This collection of cards comes from the family of Austin Hay who was a casting director some years ago. Most of the cards are sent from others involved in films or Broadway which may be of interest to some.
