This book club edition is a 1964 reprint of the first edition and the only publishing date is 1936. Dust jacket references author’s death in 1949 and 20 million readers.

Condition is very good overall with complete dust cover. Book is great, paper cover has some edge issues.

So we are clear this is not a true first edition. This is the 1964 book club reproduction edition.

Please note this is one of the books that political correctness has put on a banned book list. It is a wonderful book.
