🔍 Condition

Pen is pre-owned. Plastic is glossy with no cracks. Box shows light storage rubs on edges and a small hand-drawn smiley on the white tray (adds charm!). Foam cradle is intact. 

📚 History & Significance

Mars Needs Moms was Walt Disney Pictures’ motion-capture space adventure produced by ImageMovers Digital and directed by Simon Wells. Despite a $150 million budget, the film struggled at the box office—now ranking among Disney’s most famous “cult flops.” 

Before the premiere, Disney distributed limited “prize packs” to press and contest winners that included this rocket projector pen—a quirky nod to the movie’s Martian spacecraft. Supplies were extremely limited and rarely surface on the secondary market today.
