A smaller metal plaque below shows that this plaque was presented to the Macon Health Club by the then-mayor Ronnie Thompson and the city of Macon. Heavyweight boxer "Young" Stribling used the facility for training. The plaque was probably removed from the athletic club when it closed or changed owners. Some wear and nicks on the surface of the wood, also a vertical split on the bottom edge, minor marks to the metal plaques.
