Pair of Antique French Louis XVI Style Bronze Ormolu and Alabaster Cassolettes Candlesticks 19th century 
This elegant pair of cassolettes/candlesticks designed with an egg-shaped design. The reversible lid has a gilded candle holder on one side and a domed hand-carved alabaster cover with a gilt finial on the other. The body is decorated with ornate ormolu mounts, which include three loose rings connected by decorative garlands. The cassolettes are supported by three legs ending in paw-shaped feet and rest on a marble base with a central bronze decoration and a beaded edge for added detail. All original gilt throughout.
Made in Paris, France. Late 19th century.
