Here is a mirror for door or fender mounting manufactured in the USA back in the 50's or 60's.
Sold a universal replacement or for new installation. The slotted mounting bracket was designed to hit existing screw holes from a previous mirror that were measured from1 1/2" to 4 1/2" on center. Installation instructions are on the box.
There is one screw missing from this kit. It is one of the two 8-32 tapered head Phillips that mates the mirror to the adapter. The other screw is present, so there is a reference to find a second screw.
That's the only part missing. Otherwise complete with mirror, gasket, and mounting adapter. The entire head on this can be pivoted left or right and fixed tight with a screw. It was meant to be used on the left or right side of the car.
This is a big mirror for a big car. The base is 7 1/4 inches long.
There are some minor flaws in the chrome from manufacturing or age, but the casting and chrome are very nice overall. I think is of a higher quality than some other aftermarket mirrors of the same era.
The low glare glass mirror is in excellent condition. The glass does move around a little bit in it's adjustable housing. The mirror adjustment is nice, firm, and new condition.
The box is beat up, but it has done a great job of protecting the product. You'll love it!!
