Signed 有田燒[龍] Arita Yaki [Ryu] (Dragon) and depicting Karako (Chinese Tang Dynasty Boys) as well as a Manchurian Child and a Mongol Child and the historical flag. This platter is related to the eventual establishment Manchukuo and the Japanese cultural justification of the Pacific aggression. Circa 1930's. Excellent condition! The outlines were printed then hand applied and filled, the tako-karakusa is hand done and nice.
